Coaching Weekend: 28th - 29th May 2022
For new climbers, there's the chance to take part in reduced-price induction sessions.
The May coaching weekend features GB coach and Climb Newcastle routesetter Suzan Dudink, plus workshops on the new wave cave and light-up board features, and the opportunity to climb with us on your favourite circuit!
Note: minimum age is 14 for most sessions.

Coaching Workshops with Suzan Dudink
Suzan Dudink is a self-employed climbing coach and routesetter, and is part of our in-house routesetting team here at Climb Newcastle. She is a coach for the GB National Development Squad Coaching.Workshop 3: Physical Profiling
Have you ever wondered why your feet keep coming off when you’re climbing a roof? Or why you struggle to do the monkey bars? Why it still feels impossible to get your foot near your hand? Or why you can’t seem to stick that toe-hook? Then this workshop might be a good starting point for you. In this workshop we will use a few of the GB Climbing Profiling Tools to try and assess your physical strength and weaknesses.

Open induction sessions
Reduced price (£10) induction sessions for those new to climbing, introducing basic techhnique and safety information. These are open sessions, so you may be climbing with other participants in a group.

Join us for... sessions
Climb with a coach on your favourite circuit...
In these informal sessions we go on a tour around problems of a particular colour, a great chance to get hints and tips from a coach and to get psych from others climbing at a similar grade.
At this coaching weekend we're running sessions on yellow (4-6b), red (5-6c), purple (6a-7a) and green (6b-7b).

Board Meet
