Facilities

At Climb Newcastle our aim to accommodate everyone from beginners and children to climbing experts by providing dedicated sections of the centre in which to learn to climb and to develop your climbing skills. Here's a brief intro to some of our facilities:

Main Climbing Arena:

Our main room contains over 6000 square foot of climbing on almost every conceivable angle. This area has something for everyone with problems across the whole spectrum of difficulty. There are currently six circuits of problems in Fontainebleau style colour circuit, these are in bands of difficulty so every problem in a colour circuit is roughly the same level. Regular changing of the problems, one circuit going up every week, means that you will never be bored of climbing the same old problems.

Coaching and Kids Room:

A dedicated area for coaching sessions, providing optimal conditions for learning to climb away from the distractions of the main climbing area. Our coaching courses, masterminded by Andy Earl himself, are carefully structured for every level of climber from beginner to international athlete. The room has climbing at a less daunting height for problems suited to younger kids. We offer a variety of avenues into the sport for kids and our structured courses ensure that they can develop their climbing skills to reach their full potential.

Cellar Room:

An area located within the depths of the facility provides hardcore problems and fixed holds for the highest calibre of climber. Down here there are no rules, make up your own problems and get strong!

Training Room:

Not strictly a climbing room but a room dedicated to core strength, flexibility and other forms of complementary exercise. The training room includes a campus board, finger boards, gym and swiss balls amongst other equipment.

More Facilities:

Complementing our exceptional climbing facilities are changing rooms, lounge, shop and chill out areas.
